COVID-19 Update - Telemedicine
Dr. Ranen offers Telemedicine, which is sometime also referred to as Telehealth, and in the case of Psychiatry, also referred to as Telepsychiatry. When the visit is primarily therapy, without, for example, medication management, it is sometimes referred to as Teletherapy. Telemedicine refers to a video appointment on your phone, laptop, tablet, or desktop, through a secure, confidential platform. A first appointment in person is usually recommended, and in some cases required, for example when certain medications are prescribed. However, there are instances, like with the COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) pandemic, when Dr. Ranen can see patients even for the initial visit by Telemedicine.
